Respect in Sport

As of the 2019/2020 season onward, all families registered in Leduc Ringette Association will be required to have one parent/guardian that is certified under the Respect in Sport parent program before October 1, 2019.

If you are not currently certified through another organization, there is a $12 fee for completing the training and it is valid for 5 years. Please complete the training using the Parent Certification link below. Start with the “NEW to this program” option and it will lead you through the steps to complete the training.

If you are currently certified through another sports organization you can copy that certification record over to the LRA database under the Ringette Canada RiS umbrella.

  • I found it easiest to start with the “New to this program” option

  • It will open and ask if you have already certified in one of the RiS programs

  • Click on the appropriate button

  • You will be asked for the child’s name that the certification is registered within the other organization

  • The program will then copy across your parent information and then provide a screen to update the child’s name to which the certification is to be applied.

  • You will be asked to identify the organization you wish to use. Continue through the drop-downs until you reach Zone 5, then Leduc.

  • You will then be prompted to confirm the information and only register as a “Parent” under the LRA’s records.
